Matching Coloured Strings to your Guitar

Posted by Andrew Rivers at

As it’s something we've been asked many times, we thought we’d give you some ideas about how best to match coloured strings to your guitar.

Many people are deciding to make their electric guitar more colourful by adding some coloured electric guitar strings, but you can also add coloured acoustic guitar strings or coloured bass guitar strings as well.  A lot of the bass guitarists we know tend to be silent types, but adding some colour to your bass guitar is another way of expressing yourself!

At Fretfunk we've been selling top-quality coloured guitar strings for over a year now and they've been an extremely popular product in our range.  The strings we sell are all made in the USA by our friends at Aurora, which are, in our opinion, the best quality strings you can get.  Aurora actually supply string wire to many of the brands you already know by name, but we get them direct from the original manufacturer.

The strings are silver coated and then have colour applied on top of that, making them the brightest sounding coloured strings on the market.  The silver coating also helps prevent corrosion and keeps them sounding great for a long time.
